Seems I caught the flu. My cousin had initial signs of it, but I thought they were still premature enough that they wouldn't be able to affect me. I was wrong. After 17 hours sleep and multiple pills, i'm feeling a little better, but It would be best if people don't get in physical contact with me for a good minute. Until late tonight, I'm bed ridden.

I'll make a happier post about the holiday later.

Having, somehow, fallen into the entertainment industry, I often wonder why so many ads I come across are nothing more than mind numbing or simply idiotic. Or why most articles of "modern entertainment" all try to do the same thing as everyone else for the simple reason of, by playing by the numbers, one of them will be successful and just maybe it'll be this one.

Then I came across this. It's long, but it's worth a read if you have a spare 30 minutes.

http://kotaku.com/5395084/can-videogames-be-our-friends

Check it out.

What I do know is that this is proof the magazine industry as a whole, and the formerly dignified adult magazine industry in particular, has lost it. And I think it means The Simpsons has finally officially jumped the shark, too. (Confession: I have the first 8 or 9 seasons committed to memory, but I haven't watched it in years.) The only reason why I can stomach the daily show is because it feels like a voice of reason amongst retardation that is modern media. But even then, I watch the segment on the car dealers and can't help but throw my arms up in negative exclimation. I mean seriously, what the hell. Why do people think it's okay to run their business like this? Why are corporations so eager to fuck people?

I'll give it until the end of Obama's presidency. He's try, but not much has happened yet. People are still dumb, companies are still fucking their employees, there's no more happy medium, Only extremes.

It makes me long for a more romantic time. One where I could travel the world with a Katana on my hip and a desert eagle on my breast, looking for adventure in between meals.
